I enjoy spending time with my family when I’m not upholstering or teaching, what do you like to do?

On a recent cold winter day, we had our kids and their families over for a sliding party. I am sure you can relate to bundling kids up for outdoor activities if you live in a part of the world that gets mounds of snow. We have 6 grandchildren from 18 months to 10 and finding something we can all do together can be challenging for sure. As you can see from the pictures, sliding on the frozen snow was a WIN for all but the youngest who napped while we were enjoying some outdoor time.

Warming up with some hot chocolate!

After the outdoor festivities, I decided it was time for a family picture, it had been two years since the last one we took. We got the younger kids to sit on the sofa adorned with my DIY valentines day pillows. Someone commented when I posted the picture that only an upholsterer would have a white sofa with so many kids in the family, hahaha. The sofa has a slipcover which you can read about here (gotta love washable performance fabrics from Revolution Fabrics).  As you can see it is not easy to rein in 6 kids and 6 adults either lol, but this photo is definitely us! And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thanks for letting me share a little bit of my family fun times with you. What do you do when you are not working or upholstering?
