For our 2024 Upholstery MeetUp, we will be gathering in Hickory NC and lodging at Courtyard Hickory in the heart of Hickory NC the furniture capital!
ORGANIZED BY AN INDUSTRY EXPERT
With 25+ years of experience, Kim Chagnon has become a trusted name in both upholstery and education.
In 1996, she started her own business, Kim’s Upholstery, which thrived catering to the high-end market and giving clients the custom upholstery they truly wanted.
When she’s not busy in her workroom, Kim is busy teaching upholstery online and by way of in-person workshops. Over the years she has presented at multiple conferences and appeared on both national and local TV sharing her knowledge with both DIY enthusiasts and professional upholsterers looking to grow their skills. She has served on the board of directors for both industry organizations and national women’s associations.

Register to join us for our 5th Annual Upholstery MeetUp. Your registration includes a full-day program and lunch on 5/16/2024 at the Courtyard Hickory. Once registered for this event you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the event’s discounted room block at Courtyard Hickory. The hotel is located at 1946 13th Avenue Drive SE, Hickory NC.

MEETUP PRICING
- The cost to attend is $149 per person which includes a buffet lunch on day 2. (spouses are welcome but must register separately)
- Registration is non-refundable.
- Any travel, lodging, and other meal expenses are your responsibility.

- 4:30 – 6:00 Sign in meet and greet
- In the lobby area of the Courtyard Hickory by Marriott
DAY ONE
- 9:30 am Bill’s Sewing Machine
- The group has been invited for a tour as well as demonstrations of sewing machines and tips for sewing machine maintenance.
- Lunch on your own
- 1:30 pm Hancock and Moore
- a well-known furniture manufacturer will be giving us a tour and sharing information on their processes as well as custom cushioning.
- If you’re like most you have questions about down and feather combinations so be sure to ask questions.
DAY TWO
Join us for a full-day program and lunch at Courtyard Hickory
- 8:30 am check-in
- 9:00 am Program begins
- This will be a series of round table demonstrations and Q&A
- Surprise leather vendor will be there, too!
- 12:30 – 1:30 Lunch Buffet
- 1:30 – 2:45 We will gather for a panel discussion immediately following lunch. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions of the panel.
