Learning Upholstery skills at home is very easy these days. There are many options available to you.

You can pick up a copy of “Upholstery A Complete Course” Revised Edition 309 pages by David James or “The Upholsterer’s Pocket Reference Book” 167 pages by the same author and refer to them as you work. If learning from a book is your style there are many good upholstery books out there. I got mine from Amazon.com

Alternatively, some people have found success by approaching local upholsterers and offering to work for free in exchange for the opportunity to learn and develop their upholstery skills. While this approach may not be universally successful, it’s worth a try and could be a stepping stone toward advancing your career in upholstery.

I learn best by watching others work. With the advent of YouTube, I have been able to learn many different things.  As a matter of fact, all that I know about creating a website, video recording,  editing,  and uploading video to my membership site I learned by watching videos, over and over and over. I am a slow learner so the rewind button on my player is very well worn.
