#CLFair in Atlanta GA

A few years ago I attended the Country Living Fair (#CLFair) in Rhinebeck NY.  I had known about the yearly event held by Country Living Magazine but the timing had never worked out that I could attend.  This was the year that would put my dream in motion.  As many skilled Makers I had the desire to be on HGTV or featured in one of the magazines that I enjoyed reading monthly. I have several years of Country Living Magazines still in my stash, don’t you?

Jana Platina Phipps Oon main stage at Countru Living FairWhile at the #CLFair I attended one of the Main Stage events.  The presenter was a women who’s business name was “Trim Queen”.  Hmmm I love #trim so lets go see what she is all about.  Trims trims and more TRIMS… yes she fits her title for sure.  I was loving her use of trims in an unexpected ways and when she asked me to be a participant I was happy to oblige.  Two other participants and myself were invited up on stage.  Our challenge was to create unique projects from the items available and to use LOTS of trimmings.

A tour of NY City was in my future

After meeting Jana at the #CLFair we became friends and began to follow each other on social media.  Jana invited me to spend a day in NY City with her touring the Garment District.  Touring NY with someone who knows the  little hidden treasures that you would not find on your own was a blast.
