See how I upholstered this Wingback Chair

Reupholstering A Wingback Chair

Can I just say, I am hooked on Craigs List and Facebook Market Place? , and that’s when finding great upholstery projects becomes addicting. So you know your house will be full of little orphaned chairs once you get hooked!  When that happens, and it will, it’s time to kick your hobby into full gear and LEARN HOW TO UPHOLSTER them.

So, would you drive 3 hours to pick up this wingback chair?  That’s what I did because I had to have it!  Did you know I love the color pink?  Because I love pink, I had been drooling over this pink chenille in my stash, do you have a fabric stash?  When I found this coordinating floral fabric that was being discontinued, of course, I had to buy all they had left.  So now I’m ready to join this great floral with the pink chenille for a one-of-a-kind custom piece!

Creating pieces that match your style and personality is what makes learning upholstery fun.  Once you learn how to upholster, there will be no more going to the furniture store and having to choose from boring beige, gray, and brown colorways.  Doing it yourself you get to pick whatever fabric speaks to you.  You can follow along and then find yourself a great beginner piece and give DIY upholstery a try.
