As most of you probably know I joined forces with Susan Woodcock of HomeDecGal earlier this year. We created an educational event for Industry professionals as well as the DIY community. During this event the attendees will have the opportunity to actively participate in learning the techniques being taught in the class they choose. There will also be an opportunity for them to sit and ask questions of each instructor in a very relaxed atmosphere. This event, Sewing and Upholstery Retreat, is being held on October 5 – 7 of 2014 in Arden NC at the Lutheridge Camp and Conference center. Well today at noon we opened the registration for this event. Our attendance was limited to 50 to ensure the type of learning opportunity we wanted for all those that participated. I was totally overwhelmed and in a slight state of shock as with in 20 minutes our event was half full…. YES HALF FULL! Now at the close of the day we have very few spaces left and are getting inundated with emails from excited attendees looking forward to October.
