Paint and Reupholster Chairs

I love the paint and reupholster projects that make me smile.

Working with my friend Kristin Nicholas of Kristin Nicholas Designs made this project an absolute blast! I was given these two chairs and knew they needed something bold, bright, and cheerful to bring them to life. The search for the perfect fabric led me to one of Kristin’s designs on Spoonflower. The colors weren’t quite right for my vision, but Kristin, being the creative genius she is, said, “No problem — we can tweak it!”

With Kristin’s help, we customized the fabric’s colors to perfectly match the DIY Chalk Paint palette I had picked out. Having such a vibrant, imaginative friend — someone who loves color even more than I—made this process so much fun. Kristin’s funky, colorful style is guaranteed to brighten anyone’s day! You can even grab this fabric yourself at Spoonflower.com.
