On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Window Coverings Association of America, I am pleased to announce that Kimberley Chagnon and Karen Lander have accepted appointments to the WCAA Board.

Kim Chagnon is the owner of Kim’s Upholstery, a home based, full service upholstery and soft home furnishings business located in Greenfield Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Keene State college and Hallmark Institute of Photography and founded her upholstery business in 1996. In 2000 Kim added window treatments to her business which soon employed 3 people besides herself. In 2005 Kim became a member of the WCAA and began attending monthly meetings of the Northeast New England chapter in Littleton Ma., networking and learning all she could about the window treatment business. In 2010 Kim was elected president of the Northeast New England Chapter and she holds that role today.

Karen Lander is an independent designer and owner of Drapery Design offering professional management of residential and commercial window treatment projects. Her passion for this industry started at a very young age when she won a national award as an outstanding home economics student in high school. Karen studied Design and Merchandising at Drexel University before transferring to Philadelphia University to gain even more knowledge about fabrics. She holds a BS Degree in textile design and her work has been featured in several Vassar show houses and has been published in books and magazines such as Traditional Home, Decorator Show Houses and Designer Kitchens.
I know you will be as thrilled as we are to have Kim and Karen as your representatives on the WCAA Board and hope you will join me incongratulating them.
