In these episodes, you’ll follow along step by step as I upholster this unique piece, starting with a beautifully painted frame in a rich medium gray using my own homemade chalk paint. To add a smooth, velvety feel, I’ve carefully rubbed the finish with steel wool—now, it’s time for the fabric!
For this project, I’ve chosen a bold and funky black-and-white fabric with a striking red contrast, giving this little chair a personality all its own. Instead of the traditional welt cord detail, I’m adding a modern twist with a sleek flat flange accent on the cushion.
