New Training Series: Running and Growing a Profitable Upholstery Business
The Business Essentials make all the difference
As most small business owners discover, starting a business is not just about hanging up a sign, getting business cards printed, and watching the clients (and money) role in. When I started my upholstery business over twenty years ago, I didn’t know everything that was needed to run the business. I was confident in my upholstery skills, but I knew running an upholstery business would take more than that. Today we have the internet, which means it’s much easier for someone to find out what’s needed to start growing a successful, profitable upholstery business. But figuring out how and where to start can be overwhelming. How can you avoid making costly mistakes? Who can you turn to for reliable advice?
Help is on the way!
Here at Kim’s Upholstery we have created video tutorials for you to learn upholstery skills online. We have grown to a large community where members (professional upholsterers and DIYers) help one another through encouragement and sharing. Together we have overcome road blocks, solved sticky problems, and learned how to work with customers. Through this fun and friendly community of upholsterers, we have heard your questions about starting and running your business. We are excited to announce we have started a new Upholstery Business Series called “Running and Growing a Profitable Upholstery Business“.
The first course in this upholstery business series will be available to members soon!
The first course in this series is called Business Essentials. This course will help you whether you are brand new in business or have been in business for a while. It will discuss topics and tips including:
- Choosing a location
- Picking a business name
- Registering your business with authorities
- Bookkeeping
- Company policies
- Business insurance
Watch your email inbox to learn when you will have access to this new content (Spoiler alert! It will be available on August 10, 2017). Also be sure to look for the new topic section to be added to your community forum where we will be able to answer questions you may have once you’ve viewed the new video. And don’t forget, every Wednesday we offer a live Q&A session for members.
See you on the inside,
Kim
