Dining Room Chair with Fully Upholstered Seat

In this video tutorial you will learn how to reupholster a dining room chair with a fully upholstered seat that is not removable. I will show you how to pad the seat using 2” foam, and a 1 oz. bonded Dacron. To attach the fabric we will be using a cardboard tack strip which goes on before the padding.

Next we will be making the necessary cuts to allow us to wrap the fabric to the underside of the frame. We will also need to make squared front corners before finishing off the fabric and adding the single welt cord detail and lastly the dust cover.

This is a great video for people starting out with upholstery. Kim takes you from start to finish and I ended with a professional seat when I was done.
