Most of the furniture that comes in to Kim’s Upholstery to be reupholstered has some degree of wear, scratches and dings on the exposed wood. ( legs, arms, decorative pieces etc.) The easiest way to take care of minor dammage is with scratch cover. We use the Old English brand of scratch cover. You can pick it up at your local grocery or hardware store. Rub a little on and wait a minute, then rub off the excess. This will color the wood and leave a satin or dull finish which is OK in most applications. If you prefer a glossy finish just rub on a little wax and polish with a rag.
