Class Overview

In this Pleated Drapery Panels video I will teach you how to make beautiful pleated drapery, take measurements, cut fabric and lining and much more.

In this video, you’ll learn how to make pleated drapery panels. I’ll start with how to take measurements of a window, how to figure what size to make the drapery panels and figure fabric and lining yardages. Then I’ll move on to cutting out the fabric and lining, and figuring the pleats and spaces. Next, we’ll sew in the bottom hems and table the panels (attaching the fabric and lining pieces together, putting in side hems and marking pleats and spaces). We’ll go over different pleat styles, and how to sew in the pleats. Then I’ll show how to fan fold and hang the drapery panels.

This video includes a PDF downloadable list of the supplies and materials needed. Also, there are several PDF downloadable forms to help with measuring your window, figuring yardages and pleats & spaces.
